“I have been a member at Sanctify Fitness for several years. Looking back to when I started, I couldn’t squat, and my cardio was terrible. But with great coaching, learning proper form and technique, and consistency in showing up to get the most out of the programming, I have come a long way. I am able to do movements and lifts I thought would never be possible when I started. The coaches are able to see the potential in people when you may not necessarily see it yourself.”

“I'm a 41-year-old mom with a full-time job. I'm not going to lie, when my friend suggested I join a CrossFit gym, I was skeptical. But I had taken lifting classes in the past and really enjoyed them, so I thought, “Sure I'll give it a try.” I knew I needed to do something because I was overweight and just not happy with myself.

I started my CrossFit journey with Sanctify in August of 2019, and the first part was tough. I struggled with motivation until I started actual classes and was around the other students, but the one-on-one classes at the beginning were more important than I realized at the time.

I started going to classes but was not consistent until Christmas. I decided if I didn't fully commit, the changes I wanted to see would never be made. I had my first one-on-one personal training session with my coach, Alex, in January and we talked about nutrition. He showed me a way to track my nutrition that worked for me and my lifestyle. He didn't try to cram me into something that I knew I would not stick to. With the combination of these two things, commitment and nutrition, I lost 20 pounds before Covid hit in March.

Sanctify went out of their way to provide home workouts for those of us that wanted to keep working out at home during the pandemic. And the coaches were always there to answer any questions and to come up with an alternate exercise for anything I couldn't do. I managed to not gain any weight while the gym was closed, and this made me pretty happy!

I have been doing CrossFit at Sanctify for just over a year now and look forward to the classes every day. I consistently attend 3-4 times per week and love the challenge it provides me.

I never thought that at 40 I could have goals like doing pull-ups, handstand push-ups, or climbing a rope. These are all things I couldn't do in my teens and twenties that I am now making strides toward, and Sanctify has provided me with the steps I need to get there.

I leave class every day with a smile on my face and a feeling of accomplishment. I have come to learn that fitness is not just about my weight but about balance and feeling good about myself.”

“I started CrossFit a year ago and immediately loved it. All of the coaches and other members welcomed me into the community instantly and made me feel like a part of the family. While I struggled to fit a new exercise regimen into my schedule for the first couple of months, something suddenly clicked for me a few weeks into the new year and I started coming more consistently. Since committing to a regular schedule, my performance has improved drastically. I am able to keep up with the workouts and am hitting PRs in class! My favorite thing is challenging myself to use heavier weights!”
