Doing things that are uncomfortable is key to growth. Throughout my athletic and professional career, I’ve found the most challenging adventures are the most rewarding. For me, the athletic challenges have often come though sports that operate on the fringe.

Like most Wisconsinites, I grew up playing baseball, basketball, football, track, etc. However, it wasn’t until after High School that I fell in love with rugby. More than 18 years later, I have had a successful competitive career with the Wisconsin Rugby Club, and I continue to play socially with the club’s Old Boy squad, otherwise known as “VOMITS.”

In the twilight of my competitive days, I found CrossFit as a way to stay fit enough to keep up with much younger athletes. CrossFit also provided me the outlet needed to finally hang up my boots and transition into a new sport. Through CrossFit, I continue to get my fix for pushing my physical limits and more importantly, being part of a community of fantastic people.

Over the years, I’ve pushed my limits in other areas like triathlons of varying distances, distance running, rock climbing, and various outdoor adventures. CrossFit remains the core of what allows me to do these things at the level I want to do them.

Along with being an athlete, I also coach a number of sports. Working in sports that require mental toughness equal to if not greater than physical ability, I found a passion for helping people go beyond what they thought possible of themselves. So naturally, I decided to pursue my CF-L1 and begin helping CrossFit athletes achieve their goals at Sanctify.

I look forward to working with you and pushing the limits of what you believe you can achieve.
